BOTL Farm is a pasture-based, sustainability-focused livestock farm in northeast Connecticut raising:

Pigs: They are crosses of Mangalitsa, Berkshire, and Large Black. Fed soy-free, corn-free, non-GMO, certified-organic feed.

Goats: Our Kiko goats are grass fed, grass finished, and Certified Grassfed by A Greener World.

Chickens for Eggs: Our flock consists of several breeds of brown and green egg laying hens. Fed soy-free, corn-free, non-GMO, certified-organic feed. We sell multicolored eggs and stewing hens.

All our animals are Animal Welfare Approved by A Greener World.

As first generation farmers, we bring fresh perspectives to running a modern regenerative farm. Situated on 41 acres of silvopasture, our farm raises small numbers of animals to prioritize animal welfare and flavor. We choose specific heritage breeds which thrive in our New England climate of hot summers and cold winters, giving them the ability to live on pasture all year long and never be confined to barns. Rotationally grazing our animals improves the quality and fertility of our land, builds soil health, and fosters climate resilience.

As a birth to slaughter operation, we maintain breeding stock of pigs and goats that produce all of our market animals. They breed according to their natural cycles, birth unassisted on pasture, and raise their young in familial groups. Raising heritage breeds, carefully managing their diet, and giving them room to express natural behaviors results in unmatched flavor, increased nutrient density, and exceptional fat quality, all of which have been lost in industrial farming.

Our meat is sold by the cut in frozen, vacuum sealed packages. We utilize every part of every animal, so in addition to familiar cuts and charcuterie we have nose to tail items.

We sell direct to customers at our on-farm store and assorted farmers markets year-round; see our main website for more info.
